Our members are why the word “community” takes center marquis in Venetian Pools Community Association!
One reason so many folks want to join Venetian Pools is we provide a wonderful feeling of community to our members. We enjoy the small town, friendly-neighborhood atmosphere of a community pool, as we gather around pool side and watch our children play, quietly read or connect with neighbors and acquaintances. A necessary ingredient of our wholesome community atmosphere is our active participation in keeping our pool area clean and making sure our families, friends and guests enjoy a fun and safe swim experience. Our pool rules along with our members’ good manners, teach us to throw away our trash, clear off the tables after we use them, keep glass away from the pool and deck areas and keep our restrooms neat and clean for the next person. For these reasons our members are able to enjoy a delightful and safe swim season at Venetian Pools each and every summer! Venetian Pools, designed and built by Captain Walter Baker and first opened in 1931, was owned and operated by the Baker family through the summer of 1985. In 1987, a group of residents from nearby neighborhoods formed the Venetian Pools Community Association, Inc., a member-owned non-profit corporation, to purchase and preserve Venetian Pools for the enjoyment of the community. Now, many years later, our pool community is thriving. From mid-May through Labor Day, families and lap swimmers enjoy our sparkling pool.
