Starfish Group Swim Lessons
Venetian is proud to offer group swim lessons this summer. The children will be grouped by skill level and taught by qualified swimming instructors. The student to instructor ratio will be determined based on Water Safety Instruction (WSI) guidelines.
The first 5-week session of Starfish group lessons begins May 26 and is held Tues, Wed and Thurs at 10:15-10:45 and 11:00-11:30 .
Alternate and/or additional times and sessions will be available based on interest.
The goal of Starfish is to teach children to learn to swim unassisted. Children will be introduced to basic swimming and safety skills. Skills taught include prone and back floats, eyes open under water, and bobbing. This will set the fundamentals for the following strokes: freestyle/crawl, flutter kick and elementary backstroke.
Starfish participating in the first session will receive a swim team participation medal.
